NOVAMOL PROTECT™

Novamol Protect is a highly hydrating and protective emollient for dry skin which may also be itchy. Also suitable for skin prone to eczema and dermatitis. For use by adults and elderly.

Novamol Protect is an easy to apply free-flowing emollient gel that hydrates the skin. It can moisturise dry skin for up to 24 hours after one application by using a special combination of ingredients without the need for oils. The ingredients in this product include substances that attract and retain moisture, known as humectants, and a film forming material called PVP (povidone). The product works to:

• soften, moisturise and protect your skin by trapping moisture and restoring the normal protective function of the skin
• provide long-lasting action, reducing the need for frequent application.

In addition, Novamol Protect has fire retardance properties - it doesn’t make clothing and
bedding burn more readily.

This specially formulated emollient provides added protection for users. The clothing and bedding of people using emollients can be at an increased risk of catching fire. This is due to the ingredients used in some emollients being flammable and rubbing on the skin onto the clothes and bedding. Clothing and bedding with Novamol Protect Emollient dried on them:

• should not be at increased risk of ignition from exposure to cigarettes, matches, or lighters

• do not burn more readily when exposed to indirect flames, moderate heat or even high-energy flames, than fabrics without emollient.

For optimal safety, always practice responsible behaviour. Do not smoke near flammable materials and always handle heat and flame sources with care. Any protective effect against the risk of fire may be reduced if Novamol Protect is used with other skin products.
